Mapping Our World Using GIS builds upon Mapping Our World: GIS Lessons for Educators (ESRI Press, 2005) with updated materials and lessons that allow educators to combine geography, data collection, mapping, and critical analysis into the course curriculum in new ways. This second volume in the Our World GIS Education series encourages students to acquire and continue building broad-based problem-solving skills using geospatial technology.

Mapping Our World Using GIS contains lesson plans, step-by-step instructions, illustrations, important questions and answers, a CD of data and resources, and a DVD with a one-year trial of ArcGIS Desktop 9.2 software (installable up to 50 seats). In addition, one student workbook containing all of the student exercises and handouts that correspond with the instructor text is provided. Additional student workbooks can be purchased as necessary.
