This book contains a 180-day trial of ArcGIS Desktop 9 software (ArcView demo edition) that is limited to one-time use only. The software cannot be reinstalled nor can the time limit be extended. If you purchased the book used and you receive an error message about an expired or near-expiration trial period, we recommend that you return the book to the bookstore for a refund and that you purchase a new unused copy.

Exercise Errata

The second edition of Getting to Know ArcGIS Desktop was developed with ArcGIS Desktop software versions 9.0 and 9.1. New content has been compiled to update the second edition for use with ArcGIS Desktop 9.2. (See the PDF document posted below). These updates include modifications to lessons and exercises to enable ArcGIS Desktop 9.2 compatibility.
